Our family has helped people honour and remember their loved ones for nearly five decades. Established in 1978 by our father, Leon Russell, a second-generation memorial mason, Mildenhall Memorials was built on careful craftsmanship, deep respect, and a personal approach to every piece of stone that enters our workshop.
Those values remain unchanged today.
Today, Mildenhall Memorials is run by Lucy and Charlie, a sister-and-brother team. We understand that choosing a memorial is a quiet, personal process, so as a small family business, we handle every stage ourselves to provide continuity, care, and clear communication from the first conversation to the final installation.
Our Team & Craftsmanship
We combine traditional respect for the trade with modern workshop techniques.
All engraving is done in-house. While hand-carving has largely given way to modern methods, we use precise sandblasting for clean, lasting lettering, then finish each piece by hand with meticulous gilding and painting.

Trained Stone Mason
Carrying forward the technical skill of our heritage, Dec is our fully trained stone mason. His eye for detail keeps every layout precise, and he oversees the sandblasting and technical workshop work.
Micha
Stone Mason
Micha has been a valued part of our workshop for the past three years. With respect for the material and a sharp skill set, Micha works alongside Dec to bring designs to life and maintain our high standards of finish.
Andrew
Trainee Stone Mason
Our newest team member, Andrew is apprenticing under Dec and Micha, learning the specialised skills of the trade from the ground up so our family’s craftsmanship can continue for generations to come.
